Media Release:- Echuca/Moama to gain its own streaming TV Channel on September 14th
Echuca/Moama will gain a streaming TV channel on September 14th, with the commencement of “River TV 24”.
The service will initially stream via YouTube, with programs shown around the clock.
“Initially the service will feature a mixture of Melbourne based Community TV Programs, with some live coverage of Moama Cricket and Dragon City Roller Derby in Bendigo. However, the eventual aim is to have local content on the service, and to this end, anyone interested in contributing a video segment, no matter how long or short, we would love to hear from you!” Michael said. He can also provide basic training to those looking to start a video segment of their own.
A feature of the service will be content from “6 News”. LED by chief anchor Leo Puglisi, the team of young budding journalists present a young person’s perspective on the news of the day. Leo has featured on many professional radio and TV programs.
There will also be opportunities for local sponsorship of the service, through 30 second advertising, and long form infomercials for local businesses. Some assistance can be provided to produce content, or professional video producers can be engaged to give a professional touch.
“We will also run both local and National community service announcements.”
The channel will have a local look and feel, with the local ads, and station IDs showcasing the local region. There will also be opportunities for local photographers to share photos of the region for “fill in slides”
All in all, it is Echuca’s own TV channel, available via YouTube live.
Future development could see smart TV and mobile apps for the channel, but for this, we will need the support of our local business community to get behind the channel.
It all begins at 7:00pm on September 14th!
Further details will be posted to https;//24.rivertv.net very soon.
