River TV 24 is coming! Be a part of it!
A new scheduled web TV Channel is coming on September 14th, 2024, aimed at the Echuca/Moama & districts.
“River TV 24” will be a scheduled web TV channel, based in Echuca/Moama. The channel will run 24 hours (hence the name) and will run though a YouTube stream. The YouTube page for the station will be https://youtube.com/@rivertvechuca
Presentation of the channel will be automated using a content management system. Provision for live programs will be made to run via our channel as well.
Please note that the Content Management System does cost to run, so those contributing to the channel will need to pay a programming fee. This will help offset the costs of running the channel. Should we get sponsors, we should be able to cancel the fees over time.
Most time slots will be available on the channel. A fee of $40 per program will apply to programs broadcast via our service. This is to help fund the operation of the content management system. A community TV rate of $20 per program applies to Community Television content. Most programs will be repeated frequently on the schedule.
We invite all interested persons to submit content for the channel. Basic training in video production can be provided to interested persons (in Echuca).
Sport will be a feature of the new channel, with Cricket and Roller Derby presented live on the channel when available, with some replays soon after during the week.
Advertising or sponsorships will be available on the channel, at great rates!
Run of station spots are $5, scheduled spots are $10.
We can help you make an ad, or if you already have one, we can use that on the channel!
We invite you to take part in our new channel!
For all enquires, please contact Michael on 041 11 22 967 or by email michcos@optusnet.com.au. We await to hear from you!
How to submit content…..
Programs can be submitted via WeTransfer at https://VideBus.WeTransfer.com – this will send large files direct too me. Programs should be submitted at 1080p.
Alternatively, programs can be uploaded to YOUR YouTube channel, where we can get the video from, Either Public or Unlisted videos can be used. Facebook videos will not be accepted. We also can’t use videos submitted to C31’s program server. Please send your program separately to us as above.
- Programs in segments will have CSAs, Promos and Ads inserted into the breaks.
- Programs should fit into half hour slots – 26 minutes would be ideal.
- Breaks are not compulsory at this stage. In this case, the above will be inserted at the end of your show.
- Programs of any length can be accommodated on the channel, so if it needs to be longer, this is OK too!
- Longer programs will not be charged extra, it is $40 per slot ($20 for Community TV content)
- Programs in the wrong video format may be charged a fee for re-rendering.
When will my programs be uploaded?
Programs will be uploaded when received. However, uploading is not available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, or all day on most Thursdays or Saturdays. This is due to other commitments. Other than that, you can choose when to send your show each week.
Can I send promos/CSAs for use on the channel?
Absolutely! We would welcome that! Please send them as above for programs. Promos should be 15, 30 or 60 seconds (on the knocker!)
What training is available in Echuca?
Michael Costello can provide basic training and mentoring to use Camcorders, as well as helping to learn video editing. Training will be on Adobe Premiere Pro. Guidance on other cheaper software is also available. We also offer basic training in switching between multiple cameras and audio, using vision and audio mixers. All training is in Echuca/Moama only.
Do you rent out equipment?
No, While we have many different video items available, we do not “dry hire”. All our equipment must be used under supervision of Michael Costello.
Can I put a live show on River TV 24?
Yes! We have provision for that. Programs will need to be delivered to our Content Management System via the internet as agreed. Relays of other streams will also be considered, but availability or live relays is limited due to other commitments.
What is an example of a “Live Relay”?
This is where we take your stream from another live stream on Facebook, YouTube, or other streaming sites. This involves us manning the relay, and can’t be automated.
Do you produce my content for me?
In some circumstances, we will produce or help you to produce content. However, mostly it is a “Do It Yourself” process. Most of our assistance will be geared towards multi camera productions and training to do them.
What is VideBus?
VideBus is the registered business name of Michael Costello, and is the business behind the River TV service, which is a product name.
